Wy’east Book Club

Wy’east Book Club meets to discuss ‘Sing Them Home’ by Stephanie Kallos. "Sing Them Home" (by the bestselling author of ‘Broken For You’) is a moving portrait of three siblings who have lived in the shadow of unresolved grief since their mother's disappearance when they were children. It is a magnificent tapestry of lives connected and undone by tragedy, lives poised--unbeknownst to the characters--for redemption. Visitors and new members are always welcome!

Author Visit / Book Signing - Emily Whitman, author of ‘Radiant Darkness’

Emily Whitman, author of ‘Radiant Darkness’, a masterful re-telling of the Persephone myth from Greek mythology. Persephone lives in the most gorgeous place in the world. But her mother's a goddess, as overprotective as she is powerful. Paradise has become a trap. Just when Persephone feels there's no chance of escaping the life that's been planned for her, a mysterious stranger arrives. A stranger who promises something more—something dangerous and exciting—something that spurs Persephone to make a daring choice. A choice that could destroy all she's come to love, even the earth itself. In a land where a singing river can make you forget your very name, Persephone is forced to discover who—and what—she really is. Join us as Emily shares how she came to write the book and the process of writing. She will share some of her favorite scenes, answer questions and also talk about her next book, ‘Wildwing’ due for a September release.
